FireFTP is an FTP client application that is available in the form of an extension. Most importantly, it is free as well as an open-source FTP client. And, you can find its source code at GitHub website. The extension is available for the browsers given below:

• Mozilla Firefox.
• Google Chrome.

Although, it is an extension still it will provide you with some powerful features and functions. It has support to several protocols like FTP, FTPS, and SFTP. So, a secure connection will be made when you connect to a server. Moreover, the interface of the extension is uncluttered and easy to use. Other than that, it also offers you with remote editing features. Through this feature, you can easily edit any file which is on any remote location. It also has to support drag and drop feature. So, you can easily drag & drop those files which you want to upload to a server or download from the server.

Along with the above features, FireFTP has synchronization which will allow you to keep syncing of directories while you are navigating through it. Also, it has a combined text editor in it. With that, it has support to modern secure encryption as well as private keys for the protection of the connection which is made. Also, it has support to the UTF-8 encoding set which is pretty powerful amongst the encoders.
