MinTTY is a terminal emulator software which is a completely free and open-source tool. Due to this, you are allowed to access its source code without any hassle. Even it allows you to modify as per your requirement. It was first released in the year 2008. Also, this software is developed by Andy Koppe and Thomas Wolf. The main feature is that it supports terminal emulation which is compatible with Xterm. The user interface is pretty uncluttered and easy to use. Although, it is just a command-line interface. Moreover, the software is written in C programming language. It is specially made Cygwin. There is an API called POSIX which is used to communicate with all the processes running within the software. Other than that, there is support for 256 different colours and True Color support with CMYK specification. Also, you can even display images within the software if you want.
Along with the above features, MinTTY is available for Windows devices only. Also, different fonts can be displayed within it. But, the important is that you can easily display multiple fonts at a single time. The configuration is pretty easy and it won’t take long for you to set it up and be ready to use. There are keywords shortcuts supported which can only be user-defined. So in this way, your work will become easier. It will provide a UNIX like an environment in your Windows desktop.
