Picasa is a software that provides services like image viewer and image organizer to the users. Also, it provides tools as well as features to edit digital photos. Moreover, it is also integrated with a photo-sharing website. So, you can easily share any photos through it. This software was first launched in the year 2002. Also, it is developed by Lifescape which is a subsidiary of Google. The name of the software is derived from a Spanish painter Pablo Picasso and “Pic” which is a short form of pictures. It is a very well-designed software and the interface is also pretty intuitive. Other than that, it is a cross-platform software that is available for multiple operating systems. It includes:

So, you install it on the above devices without any cost. But, there is no mobile application available for the software. Furthermore, unfortunately, Picasa has been discontinued by Google in the year 2016. It means that it is no longer get new updates or support. But still, you can download and use it as you want. There is another great feature in it through which you can easily import images from a camera or scanner. Also, it has some editing tools to give a fresh look or retouch to the photos. These tools include basic fixes, tuning and effects like soft focus, warm tint & sharpen, etc.
