VeraCrypt is an encryption program that is pretty easy to use. And, this software is also available for free. Due to that reason, it is called Freeware Utility with the source is available. So, it is an Open-Source software. This software uses the On-The-Fly Encryption (OTFE) program to protect your device. It works in a way that when you try to protect the file. Then, it creates a Virtual Encrypted Disk within a file so it can’t be accessed by anyone. This software also allows you to encrypt a partition or the entire storage device. All of this is done through pre-boot authentication. Also, there are different encryption algorithms that are supported in this software. These encryption algorithms are ranging from the AES algorithm to some of the robust algorithms like Camellia and Twofish. Other than that, it also provides features that you can perform disk mounting and creation.

Along with the above features, VeraCrypt has improved very much. Because it has implemented a lot of security improvements. All of these improvements are done to make sure that your device is fully protected. And, your data can’t be breached if your device is stolen or someone tries to access it. This software also supports optimized cryptographic functions to boost the performance of the CPU. And, it can be a great feature.
